Primary Directions in Music provides a comprehensive series of fully interactive CD-ROMs for the music National Curriculum. They provide lesson presentations, printable teaching and planning notes, classroom displays and student worksheets.
The simple to use lessons have full directions on the accompanying teacher's notes. The CD-ROMs use animation, video clips and images with music to illustrate the topic in a comprehensive, fun and approachable way. Lessons are ready to use, just click and go. Lesson planning notes are provided with suggestions for cross curricular themes. Children are involved at all stages encouraging whole class performances.
Each disc covers three units based on the QCA suggested programme of study covering a full academic year. Discs / years one & two are applicable to key stage 1 music, and discs / years three to six for key stage 2 music (ordering info).
A reception class disc has now been produced and is available to order. This disc is based on the DfES 'Early Years Foundation Stage' which came into effect September 2008.
The concept of Full Chord Music and Primary Directions in Music is to provide comprehensive educational material that complements the teacher's planning, decoding the QCA requirements especially for the non music specialist. The material addresses all pupil learning styles; visual, auditory and kinaesthetic.
